Licensed and Highly Qualified Staff
An overwhelming sense of love, compassion and knowledge flows from the doors at UCP. This atmosphere is truly created by our experienced and passionate staff of experts including teachers and teacher's assistants, physical, speech, and occupational therapists, nurses and administrative staff.
We are committed to employing the most talented and knowledgeable team around. Enrichment faculty will support instruction in physical education, the arts and technology integration, and health services. In addition, an on-site nurse will provide direct care on a daily basis.
Some minimum requirements for our staff include:
- Teachers - BA level or above in Early Childhood/Special Education or Elementary Education and eligible for certification.
- Lead Teacher's Assistant - CDA or Associate Degree (AA) in Early Childhood.
- Teacher Assistant - High School Diploma or GED and experience working with young children or children with special needs.
- Physical and Occupational Therapists - BA in field and licensed in the state of Florida.
- Speech Language Pathologists - Masters in Communicative Disorders and licensed in the state of Florida.
All classrooms (infant room not included) will have a minimum of one full-time, certified, highly qualified teacher. The following room ratios will be followed.
- Infant Room – 8 children with 2 staff members
- Toddler classrooms – 12-14 children with 3 staff members
- Pre-K classrooms– 13-16 children with 3 staff members
- Kindergarten – 4th grade classrooms – 14-18 children with 3 staff members
